Our infamous Gluggle Jug jug has made its rounds, appearing at Plymouth Gin’s collaborations with The Wigmore on Regent Street, and at Bentley’s Oyster Bar and Grill, just a stone’s throw away from Piccadilly Circus. Not only has it been used as a vessel for some magnificent cocktails, but it has acted as a centrepiece because of its notoriety as part of the Plymouth Gin drinking experience.
This past summer, Bentley’s Oyster Bar and Grill presented their summer long Botanical Sea Garden – a collaboration with Plymouth Gin. They featured a statement Gluggle Jug jug containing a bouquet of fresh flowers at the entrance to welcome guests. Furthermore, they served their Seafarers Punch in a Gluggle Jug jug – a cocktail of Plymouth Gin, Vermouth, blackberry, raspberry, lime and bitters.
Similarly, The Wigmore and Plymouth Gin opened the doors to their Gin Garden between May and September 2018, a space that boasted greenery and refreshing summer cocktails. They concocted the Garden Glug Punch, a shareable cocktail combining Plymouth Gin, apricot, jasmine green tea, cucumber and Perrier-Jouët Champagne – a superb sounding cocktail that was aptly served in a Gluggle Jug jug.
Here at Wade Ceramics, we couldn’t be more proud of how our Gluggle Jug jugs are becoming an iconic part of the gin drinking experience, and we are truly looking forward to seeing where the Gluggle Jug jug will find itself in the future.
