Dignity Product Developments

5th May 2014

Wade’s award winning assistive tableware range, Dignity, has helped many people over the years who have difficulty using ordinary crockery because of illnesses such as Alzheimer’s and Dementia. We are very proud and passionate about this product range, knowing that it offers support and helps people maintain their independence longer in later life by being able to eat and drink from quality ceramic ware as opposed to plastic alternatives.

As part of our ongoing research, we are currently working with Staffordshire University vis-a-vis the next generation of the product range, in-keeping with market requirements and trends. The concept of these potential developments is to enable peace of mind for those caring for the elderly who may be unable to continuously monitor one’s hydration levels due to other external commitments. The assistive technology advancements could provide carers with a digital information source that highlight’s times of healthy and unhealthy drinking behaviour, thus alerting them to make contact with the user to help prevent dehydration.
